Injuries in Las Vegas Residential Fires
Since 2015, sixteen people have died in flames in the Las Vegas region. As stated by the National Fire Reporting System, Nevada’s rate of 42.8 injuries per 1,000 residential structure fires in 2018 was much higher than the national average of 25.3 injuries per 1,000 fires. A fire may result in life-threatening and perhaps permanent injuries, loss of life, and substantial property damage. Each state has a fire code to ensure the safety of buildings and prevent catastrophic injuries during a fire. Individuals who are exposed to fire, caustic chemicals, or extreme temperatures often get severe injuries.
Moreover, burn injuries may result in permanent deformity and costly medical operations, such as skin grafts and other procedures. As a direct consequence, the individuals whose lives are impacted by these disasters often deal with financial concerns, serious health problems, and mental agony. When victims die from their injuries, their families are left in terrible circumstances.
In addition to mourning the loss of a loved one who went away unexpectedly, families are forced to deal with hefty medical fees and unanticipated funeral expenses. Fortunately, if you or a loved one were injured or died in a fire, you may be able to sue the liable party.
