Las Vegas, NV (March 2, 2022) – Officers with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department reported that a 29-year-old Las Vegas woman died on Wednesday, March 2, after she was hit by a vehicle in the east valley earlier last month.

According to the LVMPD, officers responded around 9:45 p.m. to the Boulder Highway and Russell Road for a crash on February 18. Their initial evidence showed that the driver of a 2002 Ford Explorer, a 28-year-old Las Vegas man, was traveling northbound when he struck the woman in the intersection.

Paramedics took the woman to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries. She died on Wednesday, police said, but has not yet been identified.

The driver stayed on the scene after the crash and didn’t show signs of impairment. The incident remains under investigation, however, police did not say if citations or charges were issued.
