North Las Vegas, NV (August 14, 2022) – The most recent police records indicate that at least one passenger was injured in an accident on a neighboring route on Sunday night, August 14th.
The incident happened at 4:05 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 beyond Lake Mead Boulevard and Exit 45. A medical team came to aid the injured within minutes. North Las Vegas Police Department and local officials assume that one of the two drivers involved in the collision fled the scene, although it is unknown whether the motorist they believe is guilty has been located. According to the police report, paramedics transported one of the drivers or passengers to the hospital.
Authorities have not been able to determine how many people were involved or have been injured as a result of the ongoing inquiry. Witnesses and others in the area who saw anything suspicious should immediately report it to the NLVPD.
We are praying for the people involved in today’s car accident.
Nevada’s Traffic Accident and Injury Rate
Despite Nevada’s image as a mostly rural state, the majority of deaths and severe injuries really take place in its metropolitan areas. Results demonstrate that whereas about 70% of fatal collisions occur in cities, roughly 35% occur in rural regions. There is a higher risk of death on Nevada’s roadways between the hours of 5 and 9:00 p.m., when more people are driving home from work, than between midnight and 6:00 a.m., when fewer people are on the road. Nearly 21% of all fatal collisions also occurred between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. This is made even worse by the fact that the number of road deaths and fatal accidents in Nevada has increased over the last decade.
The Office of Traffic Safety reports that in the previous year, there were a total of 304 fatalities, 285 of which were caused by traffic accidents. In the same year, automobile accidents gravely wounded over a thousand residents of the state. Automobile accidents may cause catastrophic damage to almost every portion of the body, putting victims in a difficult position medically, financially, and emotionally.
People who have been in vehicle accidents often suffer from traumatic brain injuries, which are caused by trauma to the brain such as a blow to the head or a piercing wound. Around 50,000 individuals every year lose their lives to traumatic brain injuries, and another 80,000 to 90,000 are left with a permanent impairment. It’s possible that you still have choices despite the horrific calamity you’ve experienced.
