Patrick, NV (March 10, 2022) – Nevada State Police troopers are investigating a wrong-way crash that caused a major traffic backup on I-80, just east of Sparks, on Thursday morning, March 10, and left two victims injured.

The incident was reported around 6:00 a.m., per NSP reports. Authorities say that four vehicles were involved in the wreck, with an alleged wrong-way driver suspected to be at fault. One victim suffered critical injuries in the crash, and medics rushed them to an area hospital in serious condition. Another victim was also hospitalized, though the extent of their injuries remains unknown.

The crash caused traffic jams for more than three hours while the scene was cleared. The investigation is ongoing at this time, however, and further information has not been provided by officers.
