Hotel & Motel Fires in Nevada

Sparks, NV - Injuries Reported in Motel Fire on E Victorian AveFire departments throughout the United States responded to an estimated average of 3,500 structure fires in both hotels and motels annually. Though these incidents represent only 1% of all structure fires, they still resulted in 9 deaths, 120 injuries, and close to $85 million in property damage last year alone.

Accounting for about one-half of fires in these properties, cooking equipment and kitchen accidents are the leading origin of these blazes. Unfortunately, these fires contributed to 8% of civilian fatalities and more than 20% of the total injuries that occurred.
