Nevada Automobile Accidents and Injuries
The Nevada Department of Transportation has made public the number of people who died in motor vehicle accidents during the first half of 2022. Last year, roughly 6% more people were killed in vehicle accidents in Nevada and the United States compared to the year before.
In the first half of 2021, the death rate in Clark County, Nevada’s most populous county, jumped by 14%, while the statewide death rate increased by nearly 21%. The growing price of fuel has not deterred many, especially tourists, from driving more. And although COVID-19 legislation and restrictions have loomed large in recent years, as traffic on the nation’s roads has fallen, the death toll has risen simultaneously. Unfortunately, such incidents continue to occur often.
