Wadsworth, NV – Fatal Head-On Collision Closes Down I-80 at Wadsworth

Wadsworth, NV (May 24, 2022) – Nevada State Police Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of a head-on collision that resulted in the death of one person on Tuesday, May 24th near Wadsworth.  

The collision took place in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in the area of the Wadsworth exit at about 3:55 p.m. when a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Ford Focus collided head-on on the interstate.  

The driver of the Focus, identified only as an adult male, died at the scene.

It is unclear at this time which of the two vehicles was traveling the wrong way and why.

The eastbound lanes were closed by investigators as they conducted an investigation and clean-up crews removed the disabled vehicles.
