Reno, NV (March 19, 2022) – Three people were seriously injured on Friday evening, March 18, after a high-speed crash at the intersection of Parr Boulevard and North Virginia Street.

Rescue crews with the Reno Fire Department responded to the scene just before midnight and discovered that two drivers were involved in the incident.

Initial reports released by the Reno Police Department indicate that a Chrysler sedan going west on Parr Boulevard and a Porsche SUV going south on North Virginia Street collided head-on. RPD officers added that both occupants of the Chrysler were trapped and had to be extricated.

Medics transported the two victims to an area medical center with significant injuries. Two people in the Porche were able to get out of the vehicle on their own and were treated at a local hospital for minor to moderate injuries.

Police said speed and impairment were both factors in the wreck, though their investigation remains active at this time.
